Gynecosmastia or male breast reduction is nicely treated by
removing the fat and glandular tissue. This is most often done using special ultrasonic liposuction techniques through a small incision in the axillae (armpit area), avoiding scars on the breast or nipple area. It is extremely effective and results in a flatter breast with a smooth contour to the chest. The procedure is done as an outpatient and takes approximately one and one half hours to perform. You will usually feel tired and sore for a few days after surgery, but most can return to work after just three or four days. Full activity, to include sports and exercise, is usually achieved in three to four weeks.
