Liposuction, also known as fat suction or suction lipectomy,
is a technique used to remove unwanted fat deposits from specific
areas of the body, including the chin, neck, cheeks, upper
arms, back, flanks, abdomen, buttocks, hips, thighs, knees,
calves and ankles. Several different liposuction techniques
may be used, either alone or in combination with each other,
including the tumescent, ultrasonic (UAL) and power assisted
(PAL) liposuction methods. Liposuction is not a substitute
for weight reduction, but a method of removing localized fat
that does not respond to dieting and/or exercise. You will
be able to walk immediately after surgery but will be told
to avoid more strenuous activities for two to four weeks.
Liposuction is one of the most common cosmetic operation that
we perform. You can usually retrun to work in 4 - 7 days depending
on the number of areas treated.
