Franklin D. Richards, M.D., F.A.C.S. 
A long-standing resident of the Washington D.C. metro area and a graduate of George Washington University in 1982, Dr. Franklin Richards, MD, is board certified and has been in practice seventeen years. He possesses cosmetic surgical expertise that draws plastic surgeons from around the country to observe his techniques. Dr. Richards has a passionate interest in and is known specifically for his expertise in minimal incision face and neck lifts, minimal scar breast augmentation, liposuction and tummy tucks (abdominoplasty). As a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of several distinguished surgical associations including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), Dr. Richards continues to avail himself of the collective knowledge and progress in fields of plastic and cosmetic surgery.
Committed to a sense of service, Dr. Richards has been a volunteer medical team leader in Honduras. Dozens of deformed children benefited from his services on three separate missions. He has also served on similar teams in Haiti.
Dr. Richards was privileged to have served his country as an attending plastic surgeon at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. He also was the Director of the Burn Unit at William Beaumont Army Medical Center during Desert Storm I for which he received the Meritorious Service Medal award from the United States government.
